The adolescent years are a challenging time not just for young people but parents too! Good Shepherd’s Parent Wise program coaches parents how to establish appropriate boundaries, parent with warmth and control, manage conflict and understand adolescent brain development.

Through their involvement in Parent Wise, parents can learn how to better understand and communicate with their teenagers.

Who can participate?

Good Shepherd works with schools to promote the program to parents and carers of students.

How is the program structured?

Parent Wise is delivered in three two-hour sessions across three weeks. Topics are explored through open discussions, multi-media presentations, skills development, question and answer sessions and group work.

When and where does the program take place?

Good Shepherd facilitators are available to your school premises to conduct Parent Wise anytime during the school year. As Parent Wise is a program for parents and carers, Good Shepherd is available to conduct evening sessions.
