AAMP (Adolescent Anger Management Program) Sydney

The AAMP program has been developed to help young people better understand anger and its underlying emotions.

AAMP is designed to help young people better understand anger and its underlying emotions. Sometimes anxiety, hurt, worry and disappointment can be displayed as anger, which can damage relationships, cause confusion or create further problems.

Through their involvement in AAMP, we provide young people with the opportunity to learn strategies to deal with negative emotions in a healthy way. For example, how to identify triggers, understand how anger works and develop strategies to cope with difficult situations.

Who can participate?

Schools can nominate a small group of young people to participate in the program. We then conduct an informal interview with each participant prior to the program to find out more about the young person and their needs.

How is the program structured?

ACE is delivered by two Good Shepherd facilitators in six one-hour sessions across six weeks. We engage students in the program content through games, activities, discussion, group work, pair work and some take home exercises.

When and where does the program take place?

Good Shepherd facilitators are available to your school premises to conduct AAMP anytime during the school year. Simply contact Nicky Wells, Manager Education Programs on Nicky.Wells@goodshep.org.au or 02 8571 7808 to make a booking.
